Stow-Glen, founded in 1984, became Summit County's very first continuum care retirement community, where seniors can age in place with many of their needs being met on site. This eliminates the need to move your loved one from an assisted living facility then later on in life to a long term health care center, which can be difficult on everyone. Stow-Glen offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Long Term Care, Short-Term Skilled Rehabilitation and Home Health Care. Residents who choose to reside at Stow-Glen can expect peace of mind, and families can relax knowing their loved one is in caring, competent and professional hands. We require no endowment or entry fee to join our community but simply charge our residents month to month.
Stow-Glen was privately owned by Dave Baker from its start in 1984 until 2000. At that point in time he established Stow-Glen as a partial Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). In 2010 Stow-Glen became 100% employee owned and operated, making it unique from all of its competitors. Each of our staff take pride in their jobs and understand they are part owners, each playing a role in caring for our residents and providing the best customer service possible. We currently have 260 employees, approximately 300 residents and are proud to have just celebrated our 30 year anniversary in 2014.
